Switching my visor to thermographic, I flipped it down over my eyes. Another bit of new tech. Now seeing across the infrared end of the spectrum, the man behind the tree suddenly glowed in reds, oranges, and yellows. Cooler stuff like the trees and undergrowth showed up as shades of green, blue, and purple.
The other four people waiting in roughly a circle around this section of trail showed up every bit as clearly as the first guy.
Stunning, one delightful feature of the “space guns,” didn’t make a lot of noise… but it wasn’t silent either. As quiet as the woods were, these guys would hear me using it.
So, I shot them quickly.
